| NorthWest Healthcare Properties' portfolio comprises 60 buildings with nearly four million square feet of space. Our properties are typically full-service medical buildings with a mix of high quality professional office, laboratory, clinical, and pharmaceutical space. The buildings have significant physical improvements, including parking, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and other infrastructure designed specifically for healthcare use.
With over 1,300 tenants and an estimated 7,500 individual healthcare professionals working in our properties, there exists a unique base of knowledge, experience and relationships within our portfolio. We seek to augment this by adding select services and/or disciplines that are not already represented in the existing tenant base.
Our national portfolio and operating scale also offers tenants the flexibility to grow or move their businesses while at the same time affording them operating cost advantages and additional services adapted specifically for healthcare professionals. We have both built-out and to-be-designed space that is available for occupancy today.
